Paul Anderson has warned his team-mates that they must be adapt to becoming a big scalp after their form this season.

The former Liverpool winger admits his side face a totally different challenge to the one they faced last season when they struggled against relegation. Forest have forced themselves into the race for the Premiership this season and Anderson feels the attitude of opposition sides has changed dramatically now that his team have become promotion contenders.

Anderson told the club website: "Teams are coming to us now ready to fight. We are not used to being a big side in the league; to being a scalp that people want to take in the Championship."

And Anderson admits that he would never have dreamt that Forest would be making a promotion push this season.

"I did not picture us being second in the table now, when I looked at things back in the summer, no," he said. "But we were confident that we were capable of playing good football."
