Nottingham Forest have signed USA international full-back Eric Lichaj on a free transfer.
Lichaj, released by Aston Villa at the end of last season, has signed a two-year contract at the City Ground.
Reds boss Billy Davies told the club's official website: "Eric is a great signing for us. He has experience at the top level of English football and arrives at an important stage of his career.
"We are very much looking forward to working with him."
Lichaj is a product of the college football system in America and cut short his education to sign for Villa in 2008.
The 24-year-old, who has eight caps for his country, made 31 Premier League appearances during his time at Villa Park - 17 of which came last season as Paul Lambert's side battled against relegation.
The full-back, who can play on either side of the defence, also has Championship experience after a loan spell with Leeds during the 2010/11 campaign.
