Striker return on hold

Nottm ForestNottingham Forest striker Joe Garner's return to fitness has suffered a setback after the player picked up a stomach bug.

The 20-year-old is closing in on a return to full fitness after spending the last eight months out with a knee ligament injury but he may have to wait a while longer before making an appearance for the first-team.

Garner hoped another outing for the reserves against Walsall tonight would put him in contention for the weekend but that now appears to be out of the question.

Boss Colin Calderwood told the club's official site: "Joe has had a stomach bug and has not been well over the weekend, so there's no point in playing him against Walsall."
