Notts County are seeking to extend Kieron Freeman's loan from city rivals Nottingham Forest.

Freeman made the move across the River Trent on an emergency one-month deal after Magpies full-back Julian Kelly suffered a calf injury.

The Wales Under-21 international has played in the last three League One games in Kelly's absence and has impressed Martin Allen enough for the manager to want to keep him at Meadow Lane after his loan expires on February 11.

"For a 19-year-old to come into this club and play like he has done is outstanding," said Allen.

"He's got so much ability and what I really like about him is he's so down-to-earth. He hasn't got a car, he just gets on the bus everywhere. We're looking at his loan right now."
