Boss John Sheridan has admitted that he would like to keep Leeds' loan defender Sean Gregan at Oldham on a permanent basis.
The 32-year-old is on loan at Boundary Park until January, but Sheridan has been impressed with Gregan's ability to help the younger squad members develop.
He told the Oldham Chronicle: "I pulled Sean the other day and told him I wanted to keep him.
"He has only been here for a short time, but the lads look up to him and he has that aura around the club.
"There were will be a lot of clubs after him, so it's important to sort something out quickly.
"Sean will have a few things to sort out with Leeds and we'll have to see what happens, but I would like him to stay here."
