Coventry City defender Ben Turner has joined League One outfit Oldham Athletic on a month loan deal to help ease their injury crisis.

The 18-year-old starlet has made just two first team appearances for the Sky Blues so far this campaign, but he did manage to get more playing time during a similar loan deal at Peterborough earlier this season.

Turner has joined the League One promotion hopefuls in a bid to get some valuable first team experience, and help ease Oldham's defensive crisis, with injuries and suspensions depriving them of five of their first team regulars.

Turner goes will go straight into the Latics' side for Saturday's home game against Bournemouth.
