Oldham striker Matt Smith has earned Budweiser's FA Cup player of the round award.

The 6ft 6ins frontman scooped the round-five gong after his stoppage-time equaliser against Everton forced a replay at Goodison Park, where he netted Latics' consolation in a battling 3-1 defeat.

Smith earned 48 per cent of the public vote to see off Blackburn goalkeeper Jake Kean, Barnsley striker Chris Dagnall and Wigan duo Callum McManaman and Arouna Kone.

The 23-year-old's goals against Everton took his total in this season's FA Cup to four, having bagged a brace in the 3-2 upset triumph over Liverpool.
