Ricky Hatton's high-profile fight with Manny Pacquiao is now under threat after claims of a disagreement over the purse split.
'The Hitman' seemed destined for a clash with with the Philippines fighter in Las Vegas, following Pacquiao's victory over Oscar de la Hoya in early December.
But now Hatton's lawyer, Gareth Williams, has revealed that WBC Lightweight champion Pacquiao has had a change of heart as to how the proceeds would be divided up.
The two were originally planned to do battle on May 2 after promoter Bob Arum agreed to a 50-50 split, but the Pacman is now reportedly asking for a 60-40 split in his favour.
Speaking to the BBC, Williams insisted: "Ricky brings as much to the table as Manny. Either it is 50-50 or we'll consider other options. If that's Manny's position, there is no fight."
There is already mounting talk that the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr could come out of retirement and fight Pacquiao if the fight with Hatton does fall through.
