Roy Jones is confident ahead of his IBO Cruiserweight title fight with Danny Green, eyeing a showdown with Bernard Hopkins in March.

On Wednesday, Jones is bidding to make boxing history by becoming the first fighter to hold titles in every division between middleweight and heavyweight.

The 40-year-old will also be fighting outside the US for the first time in his 20-year professional career when he takes on Green in Sydney.

Jones is confident he can get past the 36-year-old Australian and has his sights firmly set on his Las Vegas showdown with fellow boxing legend Bernard Hopkins, 44, in March.

"It's the only big weight division I haven't won a title in, and it is right there close within reach." Jones said.

"I'll do it, get it done and put it on the resume. Then I will move on to Hopkins."

Hopkins and Jones have faced each other once before, with Jones emerging victorious by a unanimous decision when the pair competed for the vacant IBF Middleweight title in 1993.
