Manny Pacquiao is to take Floyd Mayweather to court following a blood-testing dispute which has resulted in him pulling out of a fight.
The Filipino, nicknamed 'the Pacman', opted to pull out of the lucrative bout with Mayweather Jr, which was due to take place on March 13, after the American's father demanded Olympic-style drugs tests in advance. And the WBO welterweight champion has confirmed that he will now sue Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions.
"I have instructed my promoter, Bob Arum, to help me out in the filing of the case as soon as possible," read a statement on Pacquaio's website.
"Enough is enough. These people, Mayweather Sr, Jr and Golden Boy Promotions think it is a joke and a right to accuse someone wrongly of using steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs.
"I have tried to just brush it off as a mere pre-fight ploy but I think they have gone overboard."
Arum claims the blood-testing issue was raised in order for Mayweather to get a way out of a fight he never wanted to happen as opposed to being worried about Pacquiao taking performance-enhancing substances.
