Oxford bring in Brown

Oxford have landed midfielder Junior Brown on a one-year deal.

The 25-year-old moves from Fleetwood after having his contract terminated by the club on Thursday.

Brown spent the end of last season on loan at Tranmere where he made nine appearances and scored one goal.

"I have enjoyed my time at Fleetwood but it is time for a new challenge," he told Oxford's official club website.

"I think there is something special happening at Oxford which I would love to be part of."

U's boss Michael Appleton added: "He is a player who I think will excite the fans and he will give us balance on that left hand side."

Brown will go straight into the squad for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Bournemouth.
