Mark Cooper has told Peterborough they could not be playing Sheffield United at a better time as he prepares to make his managerial bow
Cooper will take charge of his first league game since replacing Darren Ferguson and is optimistic about his chances of victory against a Blades side heavily depleted by injuries - as long as Peterborough tighten up at the back and solve their problem of conceding early goals.
Cooper told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "On paper it looks like a good time to play them.
"Questions will always be asked when a manager isn't getting results. They will be under pressure and that is something we need to try and play on.
"The first thing we have to do is keep things tight and make the natives restless. If we do that it will give our lads a bit of confidence.
"Conceding early goals in games is something we have to remedy and the players have to take certain things on board."
