Forest swoop for Assombalonga

Last Updated: Wed, 06 Aug 2014 20:28

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Peterborough striker Britt Assombalonga on a five-year deal.

The 21-year-old, who scored 33 goals in all competitions for the Sky Bet League One side last term, moves to the City Ground for an undisclosed fee.

Assombalonga spent just one season at London Road after joining the Posh from Watford for a club record fee last summer.

The forward becomes Forest's second signing of the day after winger Michail Antonio joined from Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday afternoon.
