Peterborough will reignite their interest in signing two players on loan from Arsenal and Spurs respectively in January.

Posh tried and failed to pull the double deal off before last week's emergency loan deadline but director of football Barry Fry insists their chances are not dead in the water.

He told Sky Sports: "We were hoping to bring in a few players on loan, one from Arsenal and one from Tottenham, last week, but it didn't happen and we will look to reopen those deals when the January transfer window begins."

Striker Rene Howe has returned to London Road early from his loan spell at Lincoln because of a hamstring problem.
