Peterborough midfielder Charlie Lee says he is happy to fill in at centre-back while Posh continue to struggle with injuries.

Lee is set to partner Exodus Geohaghon in the heart of the Posh defence on Saturday for Peterborough's trip to Sheffield Wednesday due to injuries to defensive trio Ryan Bennett, Craig Morgan and Gabriel Zakuani.

However, Lee says he is confident he can form an effective partnership with Geohgahon and keep the Owls attack at bay.

He said: "It looks like we will be playing together and we must both treat it as a great opportunity rather than be worried about anything.

"I reckon it could work. I haven't started a match at centre-back for a long time but I enjoy playing there and Exodus is easy to play with.

"He's a big man and his size can be intimidating. If we keep things simple and play to our strengths we can do okay together.

"They will fancy their chances against us because we are bottom of the league and because they will know we have a few defenders missing. I guess all the high balls will be coming my way but I will cope with that."
