Peterborough director of football Barry Fry says Aaron McLean will only be sold if a big offer comes in during the January window.
The 26-year-old is available to rival clubs after he handed in a transfer request but Fry says he will not be leaving on the cheap and insists Posh are in no rush to sell him.
Several clubs have been in touch but Fry says they would have to pay over £3million if they want to strike a deal.
"There have been a few enquiries regarding Aaron, but nobody has put any money on the table for him, so he remains a Peterborough player and continues to be on the transfer list at his request," Fry told skysports.com.
"He has got two-and-a-half-years left on his contract, so it happens then it happens, but we definitely won't be instigating any move for him because we'd rather keep hold of him.
"We turned down a £3million deal from Wolves for him last season, so we would have to be talking about figures above that for him since he scored vital goals to get us promoted last season."
