Gillingham have taken Peterborough striker Rene Howe on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old is moving to the Priestfield Stadium to gain more first-team experience after finding his opportunities limited with Posh.

Howe has previously had loan stints with Rochdale, Morecambe and more recently Lincoln where he scored five times in 16 games before injury cut short his stay.

He goes straight into the Gills squad for this weekend's home game against Colchester United.
