Plymouth boss Paul Mariner is hoping to sign David Gray on loan from Manchester United following an injury to Karl Duguid.

Duguid is facing a spell on the sidelines after twisting his ankle against West Brom at the weekend and boss Paul Mariner is hoping to draft in a replacement before Tuesday night's game against Reading.

Mariner is refusing to name names but according to reports the Argyle boss is hoping to bring Gray back to Home Park for a third spell after watching him in action last week.

He said: "I have someone in mind, but I'm not willing to divulge who it is."
