Plymouth will be without Shane Lowry and David Gray when they take on Preston in Paul Mariner's first game in charge.

Mariner is at the helm for the first time after replacing Paul Sturrock and he will be forced to make at least one change from the defeat against Swansea in midweek as Lowry is suspended.

Gray is also struggling with a hamstring injury and is doubtful so Krisztian Timar and Reda Johnson are pushing to earn a recall in the heart of the Pilgrims defence.

Midfielder Yoann Folly was substituted early on against Swansea with an ankle injury and is touch and go for the Deepdale clash.
