Reds ace snapped up

PlymouthPlymouth have completed the signing of young Manchester United defender Craig Cathcart on a six-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old has become boss Paul Sturrock's latest recruit and will go straight into the squad that kicks off the new season against Wolves tomorrow.

Sturrock is delighted with the signing and says he will add quality to the Pilgrims squad.

"Craig is a big centre-half that we have been watching from afar," said Sturrock. "He is a good centre-half with good qualities and you don't play for Manchester United if you're not of a very decent standard.

"I'm very happy to bring the boy on board and it is up to him to get himself in the team."
