Sturrock in for Finn

PlymouthPlymouth have been linked with a move for out of favour Crystal Palace striker Shefki Kuqi.

The pilgrims tried to sign 31-year-old Kuqi on loan last season but the deal fell through at the last minute.

Kuqi, who has been capped 58 times by Finland, is somewhat of a journeyman in English football having played for Stockport County, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers.

The big striker joined Crystal Palace from Blackburn Rovers in 2006 for a fee of £2.5million but has not enjoyed the best of spells with the South London side spending part of last season on loan at Fulham and Ipswich.

It is understood that Palace manager Neil Warnock has told Kuqi he is surplus to requirements which has alerted Sturrock of his availability.

Plymouth have no shortage of firepower and Kuqi would give current striker Rory Fallon competition as Plymouths big man up front.
