Former loanee Paul Gallagher is unlikely to move to Home Park this summer with Blackburn set to give him the chance to impress.

The 24-year-old was the Pilgrims leading scorer last season, scoring 13 goals in the Championship, and it was thought Argyle would try to capture the striker on a permanent basis.

But despite looking likely to move on this summer, the Scot will be given the chance to prove himself at Ewood Park as Rovers look to save some money in the transfer market.

Sam Allardyce has sold Roque Santa Cruz to Manchester City and Matt Derbyshire to Olympiakos, so Gallagher will be allowed to push for a place in the manager's first-team plans.
