Bill Bratt says he will demand over £250,000 for in-form striker Leon Constantine but insists he does not want to sell him.

The 28-year-old forward, who is out of contract in the summer, has been in impressive form for the club so far this season, scoring seven goals in as many games, taking this season's tally to 18, and there has been numerous interest from a host of clubs who are looking to sign him in the January transfers.

However, Bratt says he does not want the player to leave and plans to discuss a new contract with him in January, but if that failed he insists he will demand more than £250,000 for him.

Bratt told the Sentinel: "I am not saying that (£250,000) is the asking price, but it is the very minimum.

"We would look and see what comes in, but we would want the most we can.

"But we want him to stay with us. You can't fail to be impressed with what Leon has done this season.

"He has scored more goals before Christmas than anyone has here and he is on target for 30 or more this season."
