Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has dismissed claims he was anxious to get his first home win since succeeding Harry Redknapp.
The former England captain broke his duck on Sunday with a 3-2 win over struggling Blackburn after seeing Pompey throw away a two-goal lead against AC Milan three days earlier.
But Adams insists he was not feeling the heat by claiming: "It's been a tough phase. I'm not relieved about getting the win, though.
"Hopefully I will be here for a long time. If you are at a club a long time you get to experience everything."
Adams has also welcomed the home clash with Bristol City in the FA Cup third round as Pompey look to defend the trophy they won back in May.
He told the News: "It should be a decent game."
