Steve Finnan's injury curse has struck again as the full-back has been ruled out of the trip to Blackburn with a leg injury.

The former Liverpool star's Pompey career has been severely disrupted so far following his summer move from Espanyol and he will again be on the sidelines against Rovers.

There is better news for boss Paul Hart concerning striker Frederic Piquionne, though, as he should be available after making good progress this week despite being carried off against Wigan last Saturday with a neck injury.

However, Papa Bouba Diop (hamstring) and Hermann Hreidarsson (foot tendon) are both still out.
