Jamie Ashdown is on standby again to replace David James in the Portsmouth goal to face Hull on Saturday if he fails a fitness test.

The veteran England goalkeeper is struggling with a calf injury which kept him out of Pompey's defeat to Liverpool on Monday.

Meanwhile, Kevin-Prince Boateng (ankle), Hassan Yebda (knee) and John Utaka (groin) are also doubts as Avram Grant's men prepare to play the Tigers at Fratton Park.

There is better news concerning right-back Anthony Vanden Borre, who is back in training after a hamstring problem.

Grant may be forced into other changes as he assesses the mood of his squad following this week's decision to dock them nine points for going into administration.
