Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp fears that he could be priced out of a move for Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Wright-Phillips is one of the players Redknapp has earmarked to sign as he plots bringing Uefa Cup glory to Fratton Park this season, but the deal could cost too much.
The England international has not really settled at Stamford Bridge since signing from Manchester City, but he wants to see if he has a future under Luis Felipe Scolari next season.
Redknapp is waiting in the wings to pounce should he get any encouragement but the Pompey boss thinks that Wright-Phillips' wage demands could scupper any deal.
"He'd be a hit here, the fans would love him but the problem is whether we can afford him and his wages," Redknapp revealed.
