Paul Connolly is in line to make his Preston debut at Yeovil as under-fire boss Graham Westley continues to contend with an lengthy injury list.

Connolly joined North End on loan from Leeds this week and is expected to fill the right-back berth - a position that has caused no end of trouble since Keith Keane suffered a knee injury in November.

Fellow defenders Scott Laird (broken leg) and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, remain sidelined along with goalkeeper Steve Simonsen (knee), skipper John Mousinho and striker Lee Trundle (hamstring).

Sunday's 3-1 home defeat to Walsall was Preston's fourth in five matches in all competitions and Westley was booed from the field by sections of Deepdale crowd, but the former Stevenage boss senses a turnaround.

"This week the lads have seemed to work with a little more determination and self-confidence," he told the club's official website.

"They are fed up with under-achieving and we know it is time to get ourselves together and kick along."
