Preston have signed goalkeeper Rhys Taylor on a non-contract basis, while winger Keammar Daley has had his deal terminated by mutual consent.

Wales Under-21 international Taylor, who was released by Chelsea last summer, goes straight into the squad to face Walsall on Sunday after number one Steve Simonsen was injured during Thursday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Coventry.

He spent the 2010/11 season on loan at Crewe and part of last term with League Two Rotherham.

Jamaican Daley signed a two-year deal with North End in the summer of 2011 following a successful trial spell.

His last appearance came as a substitute at Rochdale on January 2.
