Captain Callum Davidson will miss Preston's clash with Ipswich at Deepdale due to a head injury he suffered against Peterborough.
The influential Scotland international is facing another week out on the sidelines after picking up the hefty blow during the 1-0 win at London Road on Tuesday evening. As a result boss Darren Ferguson has confirmed Davidson will play no part against Roy Keane's Town side on Saturday.
He said: "He was knocked out so it's a mandatory 10 days that he will have to miss."
Striker Danny Welbeck, who is on loan from Manchester United, is set to make his home debut after playing 89 minutes against Posh, while match-winner Neil Mellor is set to continue out on the right wing where he impressed in midweek.
However winger Paul Parry is still missing with a knee problem while midfielder Barry Nicholson is a long-term absentee due to a broken leg.
