Wallace move KO for PNE

Sunderland winger Ross Wallace has reportedly turned down a £1m switch to Preston to try and resurrect his Black Cats career.

The 23-year-old was transfer-listed in January despite being a first-team regular and wants to fight for his place.

Wallace has a year to run on his deal at the Stadium of Light so is facing a big season as he bids to convince boss Roy Keane he is worth a new contract.

The former Celtic youngster's decision means more frustration for North End who have struggled to bolster their squad this summer.
