QPR midfielder Akos Buzsaky feels his side will return to Premier League action refreshed after a weekend off.
The Hoops are currently enjoying a short trip to the Algarve, Portugal, due to the fact they are no longer in the FA Cup.
However, boss Mark Hughes has stressed that the players are not on a break but have made the trip for the chance to train in warmer weather and boost morale, and Buzsaky is eager to improve on results when they return.
Following the recent defeats to relegation rivals Wolves and Blackburn the Hungarian midfielder admits a chance to make amends this weekend would have been welcomed but he feels the side will benefit from the break and can focus all their efforts on survival when they return.
"We didn't play well against Blackburn and would have liked to have played another game to put things right," Buzsaky told the club's official website.
"But now the squad is together and we can train together. We can get our shape and fitness better.
"We've got two massive home games to come against Fulham and Everton and everybody's going to be needed.
"I'm sure the players realise that we need to take as many points as possible."
Meanwhile, Elvijs Putnins has joined Blue Square Bet South club Boreham Wood on loan for a third spell.
The Latvian shot stopper originally joined Boreham Wood on loan in the second half of the 2010/2011 season.
He enjoyed pre-season with QPR but joined the non-league outfit again in August, making 11 appearances before returning to Loftus Road.
The 20-year-old has now agreed a third loan spell with Boreham Wood and will remain with the Blue Square Bet South side for a month.
