QPR striker DJ Campbell is hoping to sort out his future one way or another as he prepares to head back to the west London side.
The 31 year-old has been out on loan with Championship outfit Ipswich, but he is due to arrive back at Loftus Road in the coming days.
The former Blackpool player has netted 10 times in 16 appearances this season, helping Mick McCarthy's side to climb out of the relegation zone.
Campbell's current deal runs out at the end of the term but he would like the chance to help his boyhood club survive from the Premier League trap door.
Harry Redknapp may choose to keep him with the club due to his lack of firepower, both Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson are long term absentees.
He said: "I need to sit down with Harry and see what he wants to do.
"It's getting to the stage in my career where I need to make sure I provide for myself and my family.
"Once we've had that chat, I'll better be able to assess my options. But I agree strikers regularly hitting the back of the net is a valuable commodity in football."
