Dowie demands instant improvement

QPRQPR boss Iain Dowie has told his side that recent performances have not been good enough and demanded an immediate improvement.

Last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Birmingham means Dowie's side have now taken just one point from their last four games to slip down the table and the R's manager knows how important it is for them to win their next game against bottom-of-the-table Nottingham Forest on October 18.

"One point in four is not good enough and should fire us up for our next home game," said Dowie.

"We can't buy a goal at the minute but we will keep working at it.

"Forest at home is a big, big game for us. We have to make sure we play with a defensive intensity and with creativity."
