Dowie eyes loan Rangers

QPR boss Iain Dowie admits he is looking to add to his squad when the right players become available.

Rangers are currently enduring a mini-slump and Dowie is thought to be looking to add to his striker ranks as a matter of urgency.

The Rangers head coach, who saw his side beaten 1-0 at Birmingham on Saturday, told the BBC: "I've said all along that there are one or two areas I'd like to strengthen.

"That's something we'll do when it's the right character. Anyone in this division looks enviously at Birmingham's squad."
