Dowie set for midfield boost

QPRQPR playmaker Akos Buzsaky could return to action in mid-September after summer ankle sugery.

The Hungary international has yet to play this season but has been pencilled in for the reserves' clash with Charlton at Loftus Road next Tuesday.

Head physio Paul Hunter told the club's website: "Akos is back training and that's a massive boost for everyone.

"We're mindful that he's not had a full pre-season, and as a result, he's doing some extra fitness sessions with John Harbin (Performance Manager).

"All things being equal though, he should be in contention to make the squad for our home fixture against Southampton in mid-September."

Rangers expect Rowan Vine to resume full training in a fortnight after a broken leg but defender Fitz Hall's groin injury will keep him out of this weekend's trip to Bristol City.
