Moritz Volz is set to be offered a QPR contract until the end of the season after he impressed in a practice game.

The former Fulham player was put through his paces in a reserve game at Reading on Tuesday to see if he was fit enough to play in the Championship.

Reports say the 27-year-old came through 85 minutes of the game and did well enough to impress Rangers officials watching that he is worthy of being offered a deal at Loftus Road.

There are still some details to iron out but it appears the German full-back, who can also operate in midfield, will earn a short-term deal until the end of the current season with a view to a longer contract should he do well.
