QPR midfielder Esteban Granero knows how important it is to beat fellow strugglers Southampton this weekend.
The 25-year-old arrived from Real Madrid in the summer as one of a number of high-profile acquisitions made by the west Londoners, who only escaped relegation last term on the final day.
Another struggle is a predicament QPR had vowed to avoid this season, although they languish bottom of the Barclays Premier League without a victory in their opening 11 matches.
The Hoops hope to end that run on Saturday when they welcome 19th-placed Saints to Loftus Road and Granero is all too aware of its importance.
"We know this is going to be massive for us," he told the club's official website. "We play at home against one of our rivals. We know the supporters are with us and they deserve more than we are giving to them.
"All we can do is continue training hard and give everything on the pitch on Saturday."
