Hughes to miss defender

QPR boss Mark Hughes is without the suspended Stephane Mbia for the massive clash with Southampton on Saturday.

Mbia is serving the third match of a three-game ban after his sending off against Arsenal three weeks ago so he will not be able to face fellow strugglers Southampton in what is widely regarded as a must-win match for Mark Hughes' men.

In midfield, Park Ji-Sung (knee) is unlikely to recover from injury, while Jamie Mackie (ankle) and Kieron Dyer (calf) are doubtful but centre-half Ryan Nelsen could recover from his ankle injury which kept him out of New Zealand's match in midweek.

On loan defender Fabio Da Silva has a hamstring problem and is not expected to feature so Hughes is likely to name the same line up that lost at Stoke last week.
