New QPR signing Jermaine Jenas is putting in extra hours on the training pitch to try and convince Harry Redknapp to pick him.
The 29-year-old was one of a flood of imports to the club last month, as Redknapp tries to pull off a miracle and avoid the drop, and he appeared as a substitute in the clash with Norwich.
Now the experienced but injury-prone star is putting in extra work on the training ground in the hope that he will do enough to make the manager use him from the start against Swansea this weekend.
"Harry knows me as a player and when he wants me to go out there and be box-to-box, he'll tell me.
"But the Norwich game was very on-the-edge and it was more about holding positions, keeping the ball and trying to sustain attacks.
"We had Adel (Taarabt), Andros (Townsend), (Jamie) Mackie and Bobby (Zamora) pushing on so it was important I picked my times.
"Hopefully there will be games which are a little more free-flowing where I will be able to make a few more runs, but I had a different role on Saturday."
