Rangers may resurrect midfielder move

QPRQPR are expected to resurrect their interest in Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson in January - when he could join on the cheap.

The star of the Eagles engine room rejected a move to Nottingham Forest last week in the belief that Rangers would come in for him on transfer deadline day.

No such move materialised and Watson, 22, will now be worth less in the next transfer window as his contract runs down.

With enough cover in midfield at Loftus Road, Rangers boss Ian Dowie may now bide his time and test the water again in the New Year when the transfer window re-opens.

But with Daniel Parejo's season-long loan not due to expire until the end of the season, Rangers could wait even longer and pay a tribunal fee for Watson at the end of his contract.
