R's facing fight for Watson

QPRQPR target Ben Watson was pulled out of Crystal Palace's friendly match with Bodmin Town after they received two enquiries for him.

After rejecting a record breaking contract offer to stay at Selhurst Park the 22-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs with the R's already having a bid of £1.25million rejected.

A move for the player looks to be imminent with QPR said to be ready with a fresh bid, but there is also interest from Birmingham and Nottingham Forest.

Speaking to the Advertiser after the pre-season friendly at Bodmin, Eagles manager Neil Warnock told the Advertiser: "We've had one or two further enquiries which was why I pulled him out tonight - I didn't want to risk him."
