QPR boss Harry Redknapp has been linked with an unlikely move for Scott Parker at Spurs and has taken Tal Ben Haim on trial.
The Spurs player of the year last season is on the cusp of a return to their first team after being out since damaging his Achilles whilst on England duty back in the summer.
Their boss Andre Villas-Boas has already spoken out about how much he is looking forward to having him back in the side so there appears little, if any, chance they will sell him to QPR.
Ben Haim in the meantime has not played since Israel's World Cup qualifying defeat against Russia in September after negotiating a settlement with Portsmouth.
He has joined the Hoops on trial with a view to joining the struggling squad.
