Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho is being linked with a move to QPR as Mark Hughes plans to strengthen in January.
Hughes is planning for the future despite being under immediate pressure over his job at Loftus Road, as the club sit at the foot of the Premier League, but that has not stopped him planning for the New Year.
Former Chelsea defender Carvalho has, according to reports in Spain, been told his contract at the Bernabeu will not be renewed at the end of the season and he will be free to go.
Whether the 34-year-old would want to move back to the Premier league is open to question but his experience would be a major plus for Hughes who is looking to add experience to his side.
