Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has told QPR to forget about making moves for Michael Dawson and Scott Parker in January.

Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is expected to go on a spending spree during the transfer window as he looks to get Rangers out of trouble and it comes as no surprise to see a number of Tottenham players linked with Loftus Road.

Jermain Defoe's name has already been mentioned with talk of a move quickly quashed by Villas-Boas and the player, and now both Dawson and Parker have been linked.

However Villas-Boas says both players are in his plans and will not be going anywhere when the window opens.

"Harry knows these players very well but they won't be leaving," Villas-Boas revealed. "We need cover in defence and Scott will be a key player for us when he is fit, so we won't be letting either of them go.

Parker has not played so far this season as he has struggled with an Achilles injury but he is now back fit and could return to action against Swansea this afternoon.

"He will be playing regularly," the boss added. "He takes us to another level. I am pleased he is back."
