Anzhi Makhachkala are said to be ready to offer Christopher Samba a route back to Russia if QPR are relegated at the end of the season.
Samba signed a four-and-a-half year deal on deadline day in January when he joined the R's but with wages said to be around the £100,000-a-week mark, the R's are looking to offload.
The £12.5m signing has also been linked with a move to France or a rival Premier League club if QPR are relegated but he may also be open to a return to Russia where he said he enjoyed his 11 month spell with Anzhi.
His wages would be a stumbling block for would be suitors in England but less so for the Russian side or PSG in France.
