Simpson proud of Rangers record

Danny Simpson believes QPR's record-breaking defence have sent out a message to the rest of the Championship.

Promotion-chasing Rangers have set a new club record after keeping a clean sheet in eight successive matches,

Full-back Simpson, an ever-present so far this season, told the club website: "Everyone wants to break records, whether it's the striker scoring goals, keeping clean sheets or winning games consecutively.

"It's nice to reach eight games without conceding because it shows that we're doing well.

"But it isn't just about the back five, it's the whole team that have worked hard to achieve it. We're all in it together.

"It sends out a message that we are hard to beat. Teams that we play are going to have it in their heads that it's tough to score against us."
