Akos Buzsaky hopes new boss Jim Magilton encourages Rangers to play the brand of 'good football' he brought to Ipswich Town.
The Hungarian international is looking forward to working with the Northern Irishman and is glad that the club made the appointment to replace Paulo Sousa relatively early in the summer.
"I was really happy to hear it because for a few weeks we didn't have a manager which is not good for the club or the players," said Buzsaky.
"When he was at Ipswich, I played against them and Ipswich always played good football, so I'm sure we will do the same at QPR.
"But you have to find the balance between playing football and winning games. You also have to be solid and fight for each other."
