QPR have been handed a massive boost on the injury front as Loic Remy could be fit enough to line up against Swansea on Saturday.
The January signing missed the clash with Norwich last week after picking up a groin injury in training last Friday and initial reports claimed he could be out for months but Redknapp has revealed he has returned to training and could be back for Saturday.
"He's close to being fit for Saturday," Redknapp said.
"He trained this morning, he's very close.
"But I don't want to rush him in case he breaks down."
Bobby Zamora is another who has been out with injury problems but he played for over half an hour against Norwich and the hope is that he will have suffered no reaction to his run out so he can play in South Wales.
Chris Samba will again play alongside Clint Hill at the back but he is still well short of match fitness and Jose Boswinga may be included in the squad after he and boss Redknapp patched up their differences this week.
