Adel Taarabt claims Queens Park Rangers 'still believe' they can survive in the Premier League this season.

The 23-year-old Moroccan international midfielder has played a key role in Harry Redknapp's team plans since his arrival as Mark Hughes' successor with the Londoners currently on a five-match unbeaten run.

However, the R's are still bottom of the table and six points adrift of safety after Taarabt's penalty miss left them settling for a point in last weekend's 0-0 draw against Norwich while other results went against them.

And, while the former Tottenham man acknowledges that they might need some luck to avoid relegation, he remains upbeat of their survival chances.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Swansea, Taarabt said: "We have 13 games left and six points (between us and safety) and you never know, so I hope we can do it. We still believe.

"This has happened, I don't know how to explain that. But everybody is trying to work hard and since the new manager has arrived we are doing better.

"I think we needed a bit of luck because I think we play very good," he added. "Against Norwich I think we had a big chance to win the game.

"If I hadn't have missed the penalty we had a big chance to get close to the other teams. But I missed it and we focus on the next game."

Punters looking to use their free bet can back QPR to continue their decent form and pull off the great escape between now and the end of the season.
